How to make lollipops

Making homemade lollipops is easy and so much fun! Here is the recipe and step by step on how to make them.
First, gather all of your ingredients…
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup light corn syrup
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 dram (1 teaspoon) LorAnn Gourmet Flavoring
- 1-4 drops of food coloring (optional)
*Makes 24-26 lollipops
*Halve the recipe if using 12 lollipop molds
DIRECTIONS:
- In a medium saucepan mix together: sugar, corn syrup, and water.
- Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Place candy thermometer in syrup and bring to a boil without stirring.
- Prepare molds on a parchment lined baking sheet. (Not wax paper)
- Remove from heat at 300*F or when drops of syrup form hard, brittle threads in cold water.
- After boiling ceases, add flavoring, food coloring, and stir. Use caution when adding the flavoring to avoid rising steam.
- Carefully pour syrup into candy molds.
*DO NOT use wax paper. The syrup will melt the wax paper. USE parchment paper.
